Oracle says "The 11g version of UCM was enhanced to enable exceptional performance even when dealing with extremely large volumes of content, including ingestion rates of over one hundred million content items per day."
I have found a white paper from Oracle which can give us a sample benchmark for Oracle UCM, which is helpful for us in expecting UCM performance:
Those results are based on a physical machine with specification 2 CPU 2.33 GHz Xeon®, 16 GB RAM, and as we know processing power is matters and affecting both of performance and license cost.

Yes, this White paper has been there for a while. However, it does not say whether files were checked into a file system or database(using FileStore Provider)
We are currently evaluating 11g but JDBC option on FileStore provider seems to be really slow. The database connection continuously times out when the file size is any bigger than 3MB (Wintel environment)
I thing it is using file system, also according to file store provider documentation it is preferable when content size became > 100 million. It is meant be preferable that performance will be better.
Hello my friend
I blogged about this topic a couple months ago...
But is in Portuguese hehe

Regards and keep doing your work well as you know.
My friend your blog is in Brazilian :) so I am not reading it
But tell me did you do benchmarking on UCM using some tool?
Based on this paper you maybe want to do a benchmarking.
Actually, do benchmarks on UCM is a little bit "tricky"...
The results may vary according your environment...
My post is unrelated to the topic, but, still UCM related. Hopefully you can answer. Is there a way to remove the subscribe/unsubscribe function from the Content Actions dropdown in the Content Info screen?
Thanks in advance.
yes you can. give me a couple of days and I will post how to do it
